What is PGX?
PGX is a highly purified fibre blend, processed using advanced proprietary
EnviroSimplexTM technology. When added to liquid, PGX absorbs over 600
times its weight in water. When used in a meal replacement shake or drink
mix, PGX creates a nice smooth texture for a pleasant drink. However, over
the next 2 hours PGX continues to thicken and gently expand as it absorbs
water. You must ensure that you drink adequate amounts of liquid with
PGX as it will continue to gently expand in the stomach and intestine,
keeping appetite under control for several hours by providing a sense of
fullness. The viscosity (thickness) and expansion achieved by PGX is greater
than any other fibre or fibre blend ever studied.
With higher doses of PGX many very heavy and even morbidly obese
people report that PGX reduces appetite so successfully that they consider
it a natural alternative to stomach stapling.
In addition to providing the benefit of a feeling of satiation, PGX has been
found to dramatically improve blood sugar regulation. So altogether, you
have a greatly reduced appetite, elimination of glycemic cravings, improved
fat burning (by lowering insulin levels) and the benefits of healthy fibre for
better colon and digestive health.

Each serving of the meal replacement has five grams of PGX, the dose that
was found to control appetite and reduce cravings for several hours in the
majority of people. In addition to PGX, the BodySense Meal Replacement
contains whey protein made from non-denatured (undamaged) whey to retain
its high nutritional value and provide the health benefits of the best quality
protein. This product also contains the right amount of vitamins and minerals,
lecithin and medium-chain triglycerides, a special type of fat used by athletes
for its ability to provide quick and lasting energy.
Most meal replacements are sweetened with fructose, the BodySense Meal
Replacement with PGX does not contain fructose. Stevia and Xylitol are added to this delicious meal replacement. Stevia is 300 times sweeter than sugar, has zero calories, is safe for diabetics and does not affect blood sugar.
Why No Fructose?
According to several studies published in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition, the
consumption of high-fructose corn syrup is a major cause of obesity and metabolic disorders,
including insulin-resistance syndrome. Consumption of high-fructose corn syrup increased
more than 1,000 percent between 1970 and 1990. High-fructose corn syrup represents more
than 40 percent of caloric sweeteners in foods and beverages and is the sole caloric sweetener
used in soft drinks in North America today. The increase in consumption of fructose mirrors

Suggested Usage: To make a delicious satisfying drink, add 2 level scoops (61 grams) of BodySense® Meal
Replacement mix to 350 mL – 500 mL of water and stir briskly, or mix in blender or shaker cup. If using
the meal replacement for weight gain use rice or almond milk instead of water. Drink immediately after
mixing, as it thickens quickly.

After mixing, pour into individual bowls and refrigerate for 1 hour. Top with cut fruit or a dab of whipped
cream for variety.
